Default Noise from tachometer.

Right around 1,500 rpms I'm hearing a noise from the tach. What could it be? Wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Mine makes a grinding noise as the car shifts to a higher gear and the rpms go down. I'm not sure if this is what your talking about.

Yes it does. And it's coming from the tach on yours also?

Yes it does. Mine has done it for years. Maybe the gears behind the dashboard are not lubed properly. My XJ Vanden Plas with 9k miles on it does the same thing, I have started to notice. Not sure if i will ever do anything about it. Don't listen for it anymore but I know it makes noise, when I have no music on, which is almost never.
Sorry I can't tell you any fixes or anything, but yes mine does the same thing.
All the best,
Mike

I'm going to pull the cluster out and take it apart and see if I can find and or lube anything. Will give an update and a how to if I find anything.
