noisy steering wheel

might be OT, but I just got wife.com a 2011 Ford Flex, 11k miles. Great truck, but it does have a power steering noise noise when turning. Kind of like water running at constant volume. I only noticed it when I turned off the radio and started really listening to the car.
If yours happens at constant lock instead of while turning the wheel, might be something like that.
Best,
Jack

I have an '04 XK8 and I have a bareley noticable noise when I turn the wheel several turns, such as when driving slowly and pulling into a parking spot. I have a very similar noise on my Sonata too, which I asked the dealership about when it was in for some other work, and they told me it is the mechanism that tracks the steering wheel position and movement for the traction control system and they said it is normal. I presume the noise in my XK8 is the same. I would say it is so low that most people aren't going to notice it, but I seem to hear every little thing in my cars.
