Default Norma connection oring

I'm looking for the correct part number for the oring on the passenger side (US model)

I had bought a new Norma fitting, the small hose connected to it and a gates oring mentioned on a post here but it turned out that it was way too small.

If anyone has replaced this oring before please help me, I'm about done with all the leaks on this car.

IMO, if that fitting was decrepit enough to require replacement, then the entire octopus hose likely needs to be replaced, too. It's probably the same age. You really, really don't want to do all that work twice.

The t fitting was not bad after all, it's the orings.

I'm already going to do it twice because I bought a gates oring that someone here mentioned that turned out to be the wrong size. I already replaced the small hose, the T fitting and wasted a gallon of coolant. I don't mind doing it again with the correct part. I'm not replacing the spider hose till it needs replacement.

Always best to cut these lousy plastic Norma connectors out of the system and replace them with the proper-sized brass hose barb.....

To answer your question to the best of my ability, just buy a viton O- ring assortment from Amazon.

yes, you’ll have a lot of O-rings you don’t need presently, maybe not needed forever. But there are many o-rings, such as the dipstick, full and load breathers, MAF housing, etc etc that will come in very handy .

Definitely this. I've just fitted an new octopus hose, but cut all the norma connectors out and replaced them with proper connections.

o-ring assortments are very handy but unfortunately it's rare to find the correct 0-ring with all three dimensions as needed. You might go to Mcmaster Carr and find exactly what you need. Such as the 3X19X25 MM viton o-rings that is needed for the engine block to oil cooler hose ends for a fraction of the price from the dealer.

also; Mr O-ring on Amazon has numerous viton o-rings for sale listed by dimensions. I’ve used them for the odd sized MAF holder o-ring. For other locations my viton assortment has been very useful.

Inquiring minds want to know?
Did you by chance do a thread on the conversion to barbs and hoses? If so, I'm sorry to say I missed it.
I can see easy enough on the female ends but the male parts on plastic for things like the heater might be a concern unless they were cut off with a small Dremmel tool.
It had to take nerve to cut a expensive hose first thing or did you use an assortment of found hoses.
Sorry, lots of questions, just want to be prepared. LOL

There are only 2 norma connectors on an octopus hose - I chopped them off the hose, removed the connectors that they fit to, and used barbed connectors and a bit of extra hose where needed. On one side I used a t-piece as there's a hose that goes up to the throttle body.

I didn't take any pics or do a write-up I'm afraid, but it's just basic car-plumbing.

Thank you for your quick response. I get it and will properly do the same.
