Default not a lucky day

After 6 years of enjoyment, my 2000 XK8 convertible hit a nissan juke in the rear, today. My faulti so no insurance intervenence.
Airbags went off and broke the windshield. the front is gone. the bumber went under the juke so a lot of damage, bumber cover, bonnet. doors and wings are ok radiator also. The wiperfluidreservoir is gone.
So I am looking now for a front, bonnet, headlights, wiperfluid reservoir and airbags.
Will it be worthwihle repairing it?
All advice or addresses for secondhand parts, preferably in europe is welcome?

Thanks

I'm very sorry to hear this and hope there was no one injured.

Values of XK8's anywhere in mainland Europe are much higher than here in the UK so if damage is restricted to the parts you have listed, it is almost certainly going to be worthwhile repairing.

When sourcing parts, our UK specialist Jaguar breakers are going to be the lowest cost option.

I have made a request for the used parts with breakeryard.com.
Anyone having experience with them?

Thanks.

+1 to Eurojag.

I've used them for over sixteen years now and always found them very reliable.

Default Eurojag

Looks more difficult then first assumed to find the second hand parts.
Eurojag does not have the stuff I need, and the brokers I contacted do not respond to my inquiries.
So any other suggestions?
I need a bonnet with hinges and the complete bumper (used parts).
Also a driverside and passengerside airbags plus controller are needed.
The head and windscreen I have to buy new and the 2 headlamps I need to by on the continent.

Thanks,
Luc

Sorry to hear of your accident, heart breaking. Have you tried EBay? there's front bumper covers and bonnets on there, plus lots of other parts. Head lights are like gold dust though.

Ebay is, indeed, a good source, but there is also a Jaguar salvage yard in Sun Valley, CA (Los Angeles suburb), and he always has a number of XK8/r cars for parts. I believe if you go onto Craigslist in Los Angeles and type in XK8 or XKR, he has some listings with his phone number. I will check and see and then repost. Good luck.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
Finally; Got a new head since it is going to be welded in.
Ordered the used parts with All4jags, hopes it works out.

I would have used this as a reason to go to paragon and get one of his new front nose designs.
Glad no one was hurt. But what was the cause?

Could indeed have been an option.
My fault, unconcentrated slow driving at 40m/h, passing a traffic light and the car infront suddenly hit his brakes.
