OBD för -98 Xkr?
Hi, ok so since its going to be needed at some point, obd reader for older xk's?, have tried torque pro, just the basic reading from that(water temp etc),
also tried(borrowed) proffesional equipment, autocom/delphi, for some reason that software didn't read older xk's(from my 2000 upwards only), any know any workaround for that?(did try my car as a my 2000, but no luck....)
got carly installed, that connected and got some readings, but that app requires a subscription 3USD month and it does xk's, but not the EU ones...just north America ones, was there any difference btw US/EU Xk's at the time?
in short, any ideas on a "good" obd reader that don't cost a arm & leg?
Cheers!

My icarsoft CR v 2.0 works fine on my XK8 97. With the JLR codes installed, this model allows up to 10 different brand but there is a slightly cheaper JLR only one. I can read all modules and get good code interpretation on both the XK and the X-type.
thanks, ok so icarsoft seems to work on the early xk's, your car is US or EU? it seems to make a difference if the car is US vs EU when I read the spec for different readers at icarsoft,
cheers!
