OBD and module report from my new XK8
No check engine light and no pending OBD codes. Scan of the modules gives me from the transmission P0711 "transmission fluid temperature sensor circuit range/performance". This appears whether the car is hot or cold. From review could be in the wiring harness or maybe a bad sensor. I'll put up on the lift disconnect harness and spray with electronics cleaner as a first step. Lots of service records since new. None show transmission fluid change. It's at 100k miles so I'll be doing change and flush.
For the instrument pack U1261 "SCP (J1850)(-) circuit failure. All instruments (except oil pressure and volt meter) and warning lights (when key on) work. Neither my oil pressure gauge or voltage meter move at all, pointed straight up all the time.
Codes for driver's seat that only moves fore and aft. Also codes for windows, mirrors, wiper park and passenger seat. All these work fine. Guessing since older car more residence that gives these codes?
Input appreciated.

Clear the DTC in the TCM and see if it recurs.
The temp thermistor is part of the internal harness on the ZF5HP24.
Whenever I get an unknown car in the shop, I delete ALL DTCs in all modules, record/print them and go for a drive.
Returning DTCs can be evaluated.
You never know when the old DTCs were logged?

Here is what remains:
Bunch for driver's seat, expected as does not have all functions.
SLM - U1135 ignition staturs not obtained; U1041 vehicle speed not obtained; B24BD diagnostic trouble code invalid
PDM - B1402 local door window glass circuit failure; B2323 local mirror drive, left/right out of range; B2327 local mirror drive, up/dowm out of range low
DDM - B2182 remote door window glass; B2336 mirror switch assmbly - circuit failure; B1234 mirror switch invalid code
BPM - B2334 column drive, tilt out of range high; ignition switch - illegal input code; U2012 communication bus error - non SCP; UI041 vehicle speed not obtained; B1446 wiper park sense - circuit failure; B2332 column drive, reach out of range low; B1875 turn signal switch left and right switches active; B2368 column adjust switch, out of range; B2351 column adjust switch
As said all windows, wipers, mirrors, tilt in/out column, and passenger seat works. Do these need to be reset like with one touch down windows?
Instrument panel code disappeared, but needles on oil pressure and voltmeter are to the left when off and go to 12 o'clock when running. Neither move with more revs.
Not understanding ignition switch codes. It obviously starts.
Am I right that vehicle speed comes from a sensor on a rear wheel?
The 'gauges' are not accurate units. More like 'idiot- lights' with moving pointers.
JagWrangler has a kit to convert them to 'actual-gauges' if you are inclined.
