Occasional Clunk/Thump from 2003 XKR right rear when turning left
Over the last couple of months my 2003 XKR has made a solid 'bump' or 'clunk' when I turned hard left fairly fast.
The noise appears to come from the rear right. Best way to describe it - sounds like you'd left a water bottle in the trunk, and it slid across the trunk and hit the inside of the rear quarter panel (and yes - my trunk was empty!). Definitely makes you jump when it happens.
It's only made the noise 4 or 5 times in several hundred miles of driving, but seems to be getting more frequent. My guess is that it's bush that needs replacing, but wondered if anyone knew which one from these symptoms (couldn't find anyone describing anything similar).
No sign of any noises when going in a straight line, even on bumpy roads.
Thanks in advance....

I had the same sound, it was the hub carrier bearing. I took my local indi, it was a sub 2 hour repair, I watched him and wished I had done it myself.
Knocking out the old bearing shells was a bit tricky, quite a bit of hamering with a bent chisel was needed. Apart from that it looked easy.
