Default Oil breather tube?

What is the part name and number for the plastic oil breather tube that comes out of the left side valve cover and goes under the intake manifold all the way towards the back of the engine below the expansion tank?

Does replacing it involve the removal of the intake manifold?

That's the part load breather hose AJ84880. I think you have to remove the manifold, so it's a good time to replace the valley cooling hoses also. You may be able to reuse the manifold gaskets, but I'm sure some one more knowledgeable will be along to answer that.

I broke mine removing the hose fitting but was able to repair it with some small brass hobby tubing inside the connector.

Yes, I have repaired it this way where it connects to the valve cover, but I broke it again near the expansion tank. I think it's time to replace it. I think I'll also replace the valley hoses, which are the last hoses I haven't replaced.

Are the valley hoses the following: "NNE3946CA" and "NCA3945CD"?

Hi.

You don't have to remove the intake manifold. You can pull the new hose through by taping it to the old one. But, as you say, if you do you can replace the valley hoses.

It is a T-connector at the left side of the throttle body elbow which is hard to get at without removing the throttle body or moving the expansion tank out of the way. You may get at it with the manifold off.

My hose was broken aft of this T-connector causing false (unmetered) air being sucked in, this again causing codes P0171 and P0174 and high fuel trims.

Aft of this connection, the part load breather hose does a curve to the left and forward and connect to the canister purge valve.

The part numbers quoted are correct.

My car is a -97 without air assisted injection. A 2000 MY may be somewhat different.
