I am getting ready to do my first oil change on my 1998 XK8 conv. Does anyone see a problem with switching to conventional oil (5w30 I think)? Don't have all the service records from the preious owner,but I believe it currently has synthetic oil. I only put a couple thousand miles per year, and i plan to change the oil annally. The car currently has 50,000 miles.

No problem. There are synthetic blends on the shelf, so mixing them or going to conventional is nothing to be concerned with.
