Oil cooler protection
Hi, just looked below the front number plate on my 98xkr and the oil cooler and loads of other stuff are very exposed. I’m guessing there would be some sort of cover?
Can anyone tell me what it’s called and where I can find one at a reasonable price?
I believe it’s called the lower bumper undertray.

Hi Brianxkr,
I agree, the Oil Cooler and piping is very exposed but this is by design.
There is a small 'undertray', but this runs BEHIND the Oil Cooler and to be honest is a poor excuse of an undertray !!
On the XKR, the Oil cooler heat exchanger is low and exposed to receive forced ventilation from under the Bumper skin - this is why the XKR bumper differs slightly to the XK8 (it has a discrete cut-out for Oil cooler clearance).

My supercharger / secondary radiator has just gone on my 2004 XKR - it's mounted in front of the main radiator and therefore takes a lot of abuse. Most of the fins have gone and it started leaking bottom front left (as you look at the car)
Not cheap - main ******* only at £924! Luckily Autoreserve had one at a bargain price of about £60 delivered
Getting a price on re-coring the original one as they seem to be scarce, and from the condition of mine (110,000 miles) there could be a need for more of these in the future
