XK8 - 2001 Just finished checking Tensioners to make sure they were the newest Generation (Metal ones). I lucked out and they were. Changed Valve Cover Gaskets with the FelPro Gasket. Was going to change oil also (about 7500 miles since last change, using Mobil1 Full Syn 5W30), but at the last minute I thought it might be a good idea to drop the whole Oil Pan and see if there was any trash in there (plastic from lower tensioner guides, pick-up tube, etc...). However, I can not locate a new Oil Pan Gasket in the Wash DC area (NAPA, Advanced Auto, Auto Zone, PepBoys...FelPro on their Web dosen't even list one) without going to the Jag Dealer in Tysons Corner. Searched the Forums and couldn't locate a Ford Part # for the Gasket, even if one does exist and it is the same for the Jag.

Does anyone know if Ford has the same Oil Pan Gasket and what the Part # might be?

Too far away to be any help with a supplier but it's the equivalent of Jaguar Part Number NCA1730AD you're after. Same number applies from early 4.0 litre right through to the 4.2 litre engines.

I had hoped to find a Ford comparable part. It is such a pain in the butt going around the Wash DC Beltway and into Northern Virginia on a rainy Saturday. Besides, I wanted to do the Oil Change this weekend. It's going to be to rainy to go play a round of Golf or go and see the grandkids this weekend...
