Oil pressure test video

Oil pressure test video
In an on going saga in to why I'm getting a "clack" from the back of the engine during the first minute of driving, I investigated the oil pressure today.
First I had to make an adaptor so that I could fit my oil gauge, see here how I made it https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...daptor-136393/
Adaptor screwed in.
This is how much oil to expect to come out when you remove the oil switch.
The gauge came with a right angle adaptor which was handy.
This warning was shown on the dash after start up.
So at cold start up the pressure quickly rose to 5bar, 70psi at idle and peaked higher when rev'ed.
Once warm the idle pressure was 1.6bar, 23psi going up to 5bar, 70psi when rev'ed.
So the oil pressure is looking pretty strong. Sorry about the poor focus in the first half of the video.
At 45 seconds in you can start to hear "the problem noise" but it is never very prominent at idle, much louder when under load.
