One touch windows
[QUOTE=WhiteXKR;708108]Yes, there is couple of hours of work or so (maybe even 3 if you go methodically) to install the remote top module, but I would venture to say that most who have done it have felt it was a worthwhile investment. /QUOTE]
I am sure it is worth it and keep getting closer to investing in the kit, along with a RealGauge kit. In my younger days I used to love doing projects like this on my car where I could while away hours futzing around. However, these days I just find myself less enthusiastic when it comes to setting aside a decent chunk of time to do these types of things. Also, I have found that the simplest chores on these cars turn into an ordeal as some oddball fastener or connector or other trim piece will often time break requiring more time to track down replacement pieces, etc. etc.

Hey Steve (WhiteXKR) any more thoughts on developing these one touch up windows. I'm really interested and would be willing to help with the development cost and offer to be a beta tester. I have nerve damage in the left arm and hand and this would be very helpful for me.

I wish I could develop all the products I have planned faster, but each one takes hundreds of hours to perfect and I only work on these part time.
Still patiently waiting to see if anyone has figured out how to get one-touch-up windows. What made me think about this again was that I was driving my mom's Mercedes (an E350 about the same vintage as my Jaguar or even a bit older) and that has one-touch-up for the windows. Why not our cars?

Hey Doug,
When I had the window motors and switches replaced on my Pantera several years ago, I had them converted to one touch down but I believe he can do it both ways. He is in Northridge on Reseda Blvd., just south of Nordhoff in that next to the center with 99c Only Store. It's an automotive electronics and stereo store. I forgot the name but I can get it.

I have now designed the hardware module I mentioned in my April 2013 post above for the remote top for the 2007 and later X150 XKs, which I will be releasing around the first of the year. I am just testing and ramping up production now.
I am about 90% certain that I can simply alter the programming on this same module to do the one-touch window feature on the X100 if there is enough interest.
Hey Steve. I suspect it should be something very simple since one-touch up/down is listed as a standard feature in the 2006 XK8/XKR brochure. Does anyone know if the window switch for the 2006 is a different part number than for previous years?

Strangely enough my 2003 XJ X350 has one touch up and down on all four windows, which as you say is an excellent feature..
I have a 2002 X-Type, the same year as my XKR, and was very surprised when the XKR did not have this feature. I will most certainly add this mod as soon as Steve (WhiteXKR) releases it. It's a very nice feature.

Perhaps someone on the forum with an IDS/WDS system can check and see if it is already a programmable option for the car. It may have simply been disabled for certain markets by default.
