Default Original Factory Car Cover

I'm going to need to store the cat outside temporarily. Have the original cover which apparently has never been used. The question is whether this cover is water-repellent for this purpose. Searched the archives and could not find anything, although there a was good string a few days ago on aftermarket covers.

Depends which OE cover you have.Jaguar JLM 20119 lightweight cover is described as 'showerproof. JLM 20120 cover is described as rain, frost and dust proof.

Thanks, Graham. I must have an aftermarket cover. On closer inspection, tag reads, 'made in the USA,' W/RJAG288. Since it had the Jaguar logo, I presumed it was OEM.

I had one like the one you describe and keep mine outside covered here in central fl. we get a fair amount of rain and the cover lasted almost 2years with serious sun & the rain....not too bad in my opinion. I bought my next one, a NOAH from Covercraft on ebay, for $239, free shipping. it lasted the same, near 2 years.

the one I have now is a brand new Cover King, made for a 2014 Honda Accord that I bought off Craigslist for $40, I couldn't pass that up and it was brand new and fit perfect, length, width & height wise!!! it does have Honda Accord on the front and the mirror pockets don't line up but I went for it because of the price. Get a Covercraft off ebay. they're usually in the mid $250 area, usually with free shipping. You will get good service out of it.

Stealthy bit of crime prevention - no one is going to steal a Honda Accord.
