XK8 front shock bushing seal
I guess you could try to replace them from a new bushing. I think I paid something like $15 a piece for the new bushing.
I think if that was all I had with a bad boot seal I would leave it alone, and wait for full swap.
I just changed both of mine in a complete rebuild of suspension.
I can tell you that once you start looking closer more will be found. The biggest one to examine is the shock top mount. Stick your phone camera up there and take a photo. You should have about 3/4 inch space where the foam is between the two plates. Mine was down to about 1/8 of an inch. This is a part that will effect geometry change to front suspension causing tire wear. I would also suggest a close examination of the upper wishbone bushings special attention to the rear one, as I think braking puts wear on them.
