I noticed some spotting (water spotting?) on the outer rims of my Montreal wheels after purchasing my 2003 XKR.

Are these outer rims clear coated?

What product, technique would you recommend to restore the
original shine to the rim and the entire wheel?

Are you talking about the stainless steel trim ring on the outside. Mine are not clear coated, and I don't think any of them are. Stainless can be polished, even light scratches can be polished out. I've seen stainless polish I believe Eastwood Company has it.
