Default outside tie rods

I have a 99 xk8 and I want to change the outside tie rods. on the jttm it shows them to be installed upside down. I have never in my life installed them that way. could someone please tell me if this is the correct way to install them ?

They only fit one way. The taper must match the wheel arm.

If you ignore the taper and still try to put them in wrong, they will be at a crazy, bumpsteer inducing angle and you will look at them and go, "well that's doesn't look right".
