Default P0356, P0357 control circuit/open

Goood day, Forum!!
I have been getting an intermittent fault in the past few weeks that I have been clearing but now it seems to be permanent. I am getting "P0356, P0357 ignition coil control circuit/open" codes simultaneously. I have a suspicion that it is an open in a common coil ground wire or in the ECU? Question: Has anybody experienced this before and where are the coils grounded so I can start my trouble shooting.
Thanks in advance and thank goodness for the internet!

What year? It could make a difference, 2 pin coils have remote component while 4 pin are on the coil.
The codes are for B2 and B3, try swapping the coils from those two cylinders with other good ones, does the misfire follow the coils? That should tell you if coils or circuit.

takes 5 seconds to swap coils on the right bank and you’ll have your answer

I didn't want to believe it. I had replaced all the coils 3-4 years ago and just got around to throwing the old ones away about a month ago!
What are the odds that two coils would die at precisely the same time, and be on the same side right next to each other?
As you may have guessed by now, I swapped the two middle coils for the outside coils. Now, I am getting codes P0355 and P0358.
The problem followed the coils. New coils on the way.
Thanks for the support!
By the way. It took me 6.2 seconds to change them, I'm not as young as I used to be.

PROBLEM SOLVED!! Soooo, I am a sucker for a bargain. But, I didn't expect this. Guys, I know that you get what you pay for and time will tell but I found my coils on Amazon for $35.99 ( American).
Now, I didn't really believe what I was seeing so I bought two for $35.99. I got 16 coils for $71.98. I replaced the two offending coils and time will tell how good they are.

l had an issue a couple of years ago and replaced all my coils (×8) with Chinese knock offs, kept the good originals (×6). Stash of originals is now down to 4. The knock offs serve a purpose but not in the same class as the Denso's.
