P1000 code gone but readiness monitors still not complete.. do I need to reset?
If my OBII scanner shows no pending or verified codes (including no more P1000), will it still be attempting to complete the readiness tests?
I'm in the process of smogging after a ECU reset, and I'm having trouble with the CATALYST & EVAP monitors completing. I've never been able to get EVAP, but I have successfully gotten CATALYST in the past. Unfortunately it's currently being stubborn.
Side note- I recently was troubleshooting misfire issues, so I think I might have fouled up my exhaust system a bit (which is possibly why the CATALYST won't complete?). If so, any suggestions on a solution?

There's always (as a pending code) either P1000 or P1111. A scanner not showing one of those needs changing for one that does.
Separately, your scanner should be able to show which OBD monitors are supported and for each of those its current status (set or not). P1111 (as used by Jaguar & Ford) just means that you don't need to bother looking at the status of each OBD monitor because they're all set.
In the case of a persistent P1000, the unset OBD monitor(s) are a vague clue as to the problem area(s).

ids will always tell you 1000 or 1111.
evap passes with no problems cat can take a while. wds and ids have the speed run guided 40 thou test that sets the monitor to complete and the 20 thou that sets the ccm.

Oddly enough, it ran without any code (pending or confirmed) for about 4 days, and then it went pack to P1000. I had never seen this happen before then.
I'll keep driving away and hope that cat passes eventually.
