Default Part number?

I have seen some photos of some cars with a cover over this area. Can anyone tell me where I can get one and/or what it is called? Thanks.

This is what you will normally find on top of that shock nut.

I may even have a couple of these still in the package at home, if you want to buy them off me.

I purchased these originally, thinking I was getting the 1997's (maybe 98's) cover that clipped into that entire mount opening. I did find them eventually and installed them. I heard they were very hard to find too. I can't locate the part number right now in JEPC, but I might have it at home on my computer...in the car maintenance log. I'll check back if I do.

Let me know if you have some and what the price would be. You can PM me if you wish. I think that at some point I saw a photo of someone's engine bay where they had chrome covers on theirs. Does anyone recall that as well? Maybe I should not have asked for a part number because I suspect that for my MY that it is not an original part, but some sort of aftermarket item being sold by some company because I looked at about six or seven cars before I bought mine, and none of them had any sort of cover in that area. I was looking on a few Jaguar Parts websites for them, but could not think of what they might be called. Thanks.

I think our own XKRacer is the man to see for the chrome shock tower covers.

Ok, I do have two of the single bolt, damper covers in their packages, NJD3975AB. That's right, N J D. $25, and I'll mail them both to you. Send me a PM if you want them.

The part number for the larger cover that snaps into the shock tower itself is NJA3975A (w/o cutout) and NJA3975B (w/ cutout for adaptive wiring)

There is a set of the full covers on ebay. Not cheap though.
