Today I moved on to fixing the passenger seat, which was stuck almost fully rearward and down.
My initial inspection found a facemask which had wound itself around one of the worm shafts, thus jamming things up. It appears the previous owner attempted a fix by simply abusing the switch, which became stuck with only backward motion available.
After un-jamming the worm shaft as best I could, I managed to get the seat to move after hotwiring the pink wirepair to the motor, back and forth until it sort of wiggled past the stuck point, and then I was able to remove the seat.
Finally, I managed to remove the switch pack, and disassembled to discover this. I took a look around and didn't see any previous thread on this (unless I missed something) but - does anyone know how this properly aligns for reassembly?
I have been able to restore forward-backward motion, but there appears to be no raise/lower action on the switch.
Am I incorrect that the passenger seat would raise/lower like the driver's? And if so, is there any trick to reassembling the switch?
Those little black tabs sort of fell out when I disassembled the unit I think they go here...?
I'm also a bit confused by what looks like contacts on the PCB, there appear to be no components which would activate them.
The unit appears to have been original and un-tampered, as the label was partially covering one of the T6 screws and showed no sign of abrasion.
Smacking my head. Once I looked at the wiring schematics, it's obvious this is the 2-way and not 3-way. The switch itself is narrower, and the PCB has only 9 active pins, not 11.
Sorry for the ... well, you know. Back to work I go
