Happened just once so far. Car has 25,000 miles, with recently rebuilt throttle body. So far it's only a pending code and the restricted performance light went out after driving a mile or two. The car was warm and it happened when starting upon leaving a restaurant. Any advice from this point, or just wait to see if it reoccurs. Thanks for any opinions!

 

Your description fits what I saw when one of my coils failed. I documented this in another post. The coils go gradually and eventually to the place where you get a specific code ID'ing the cylinder via codes 0301 through 0308 in addition to the two you already have.

There is no sense doing anything until you get a code that tells which cylinder as this doesn't stop the car. Of course this depends on what the upcoming problem really is.
