Pennzoil Platinum Plus Ultra
Has anyone tried the new Pennzoil Platinum Plus Ultra Motor Oil? It’s made from natural gas and Pennzoil is actually using technology developed by Shell Oil several years ago. They have a 5w40 Euro Formulation available I am thinking of using it in my 2004 XKR.
Thanks
Thanks
I've not used it, though I'm thinking about it for the next oil change on my parents' 2013 Grand Cherokee 5.7 hemi.
If it meets specs, no harm in trying it out. If you really want to know how different oils are performing and protecting your car, go for a used oil analysis. A couple companies do it, but the main one is Blackstone labs, which is what I've used.
You could also check Bob is the Oil Guy, but you're always bound to find generally conflicting things on there. But test results on your specific car are pretty straightforward.
