I just found a 2 pin blue connector in upper console. Does anyone know if this is for mic? I can't find any wires it connects to in 10 pin connector in floor console

 

I forgot. There's 1 large white wire and a yellow one

 

According to the schematic, the harness connections for the Microphone are Yellow and Black/Dark Red.



What happened to the microphone?

BRD is braid not black/dark red.

 

Car was wired for phone but one was never installed. I am wanting to use original harness to install my own mic

 

I ohmed out harness and found 2 wires in 10 pin plug that go up to connector in upper console. I'm assuming these are for mic

I see it's almost ten years since I did this when connecting a Parrot bluetooth unit in my 2001 XK8 so the details aren't exactly fresh in the memory!
