Default A pillar options?

Early this summer while picking parts off two XK8's at a junkyard I grabbed a couple of nice interior A pillar covers that had less wrinkles than mine.

Of course I neglected to notice the passenger side didn't have the hole for the airbag sensor and I kind of mucked up cutting a correct hole....new one can't be saved.

So back to the originals. Ive got them both down to a smooth surface ready to cover.

Just wondering.....Has anyone done a faux walnut finish or wrap?

I'll try again fabric wrap if no better option but would like to explore some options.

Just something to pass the winter!!!!!

I refurbished mine twice. First time I reused the original fabric. Second time I used leather to match dash. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...1/#post2192119.

that looks like the weather I drove 400 miles in (homeward bound) when I purchased my XKR about 8 years ago on a Jan 2nd.

I had the Iowa seller drive me over to WalMart where I purchased three 50 lb bags of sand to give the boot some ballast. Those and a few hail Mary’s got me home safely

WOW!!!!!!! That looks so much better than stock.

I still have over half a jar of Seat Restore and the low gloss second coat! Great idea.

In fact I think you had recommended it to me awhile back.

I know it was over five years ago but would you have any leather left over you'd consider selling?

zray......you're my hero. Had to be a bit of a pucker driving that car in that mess!

Sorry, I don’t have any of that leather left. A couple other guys here split the rest of it a few years ago.
