Default Ping-clunk from rear suspension

Hi all.
Tearing my hair out here. I'm getting a ping-clunk sound from the rear or maybe a bit toward centre when I go over small bumps at low speed. I've changed the rear shock lower bushes and just now changed the rear drop links and has made the problem 50% better, how is this possible???

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Paul.

Upper rear shock mounts would be my guess, although no idea why the drop links replacement would make it better I have no idea.

Also check your rear brake pads. I had the same issue and it was the inner pads rattling around as the mounting spring on the back of the pad breaks off.

When you had the assembly down dogs you check the shock itself? On a different car I had the initial damper was shot and I had the same symptom.
