Please tell me about your staggered fitments
Hello guys,
I'm having my front suspension redone this week, and then I'll be shopping for new wheels and tires. I've got the OE wheels on now, with 245/55-17s all around.
I'll likely go to 18s for the wheels, and I'm seriously considering a staggered fitment, with wider wheels and tires at the rear. There's just a bit of extra wheel well back there I'd like to fill in, and of course the added grip is good as well.
I would greatly appreciate hearing from any of you who have staggered fitments...your sizes and what your experiences have been. If you don't have a staggered fitment, but you DO have an opinion, bring it on!
(h20boy, your garage mentions a staggered 19-inch fitment on your car, but doesn't mention size. Given the attention to detail you put into your car and mods, I'd love to hear from you)
Thanks everyone.

The Factory Fitment for the 1997 XK8 is 245/50-17, a rather odd size.
Later models included
245/45-18 8" Wide Rim (front)
255/45-18 9" Wide Rim (Rear)
My Car uses this combination and it works well, Good traction and reasonable Ride Comfort.
Some owners use the 255/45-18 9" Wide Rim for both front and rear. With this, Tire rotation possibilities are expanded.

I didn't even add the 20-inch size, going from 17's, you'll think your suspension is busted with that drastic of change.
If you want to see all of the jaguar wheels that will fit your car, check out the links in the FAQ thread. Stick with anything pre 2003 XJ, or 1997-2006 XK8/XKR and it should fit. Any questions, post back up here for some help.
