quick inexpensive foggy lens fix
Good day:
Took pics but do not know how to post them. Took off the lens covers that snap in at the top of the headlight assembly. Lens cleared up but felt that not having the covers on could let dirt and rain in (Yes I do drive in the rain !!!) Bought 2 1/4" x 3/8 " threaded copper elbow fittings at Canadain Tire for 6 dollars each. Drilled a 1/2 inch hole in the center at the back of the cover. Screwed fitting in and used the nut that came with it to secure it on inside. Did not really need the nut as 1/2 inch hole allows for you to thread the fitting in nice and snug. It now is under the metal at the center back of the cover out of the way of the hood and water. Rotated so it was facing down in case any water does get in that area. If you want you could easily add a plastic tube to give an added measure of protection from water entry. So no water should get in, no taking apart of anything really and lamp assemble breathes. Less than an hour and 12 bucks
So I finally hopefully give something useful back to the forum and hope this helps someone !!
