Hey Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has a part number for the charcoal r logo shift knob. I was also wondering if anyone knows if a 2001 would need the adapter that some places say you need in order for it to work. I believe it is called "Collar required for Leather Gear Knob" (before VIN M45254)-part number XR8 33620.

I found those numbers from an old S-type accessory brochure which is why they don't have the r shift knob part number listed.

You will need a collar for sure to make it look right.

It will definitely look better than the all wood version. I did it to my 2004 XK8.

 

I found mine on Ebay. It used the same collar as the cracked wooden knob.....Be cool......Mike

 

I have been trying to find a decent one for my '01 XK8 with no luck. I have the ivory interior with cashmere (I think) trim and everything on eBay seems to be black leather.
