Default Radio compatible with the iPhone 4 .....?

I have an 04 XK8 Convertible LH drive and I typed my VIN in.. The system said the radio is compatible with the iPhone 4 but my radio says "NO PHONE" when I press the phone button. I'm guessing the website won't tell you if you have the bluetooth module installed from the factory?

Welcome to the forum nrodgsxr,

Wrong forum for your model. I've moved your post from XK/XKR to XK8/XKR forum.

All XK8's have the phone controls but only a few have Jaguar Bluetooth fitted. It was an expensive option. Any Jaguar Dealer can lookup the original build specification from your VIN and confirm whether you have BT fitted or not.

Alternatively, just take the rear seat out and check if there is a module fitted:

This thread has links to my HOW TO guide on phone pairing and to the Jaguar Bluetooth Handbook:

I followed the links in the post but don't see answers that seem helpful with my Bluetooth problem. When I got my 2006 XK8, a bit over a year ago, I was able to sync my iPhone 5c easily and it automatically synced thereafter. Very nice and convenient. When I drove my 2006 Land Rover LR3, I would have to sync my iPhone every time I got in the car. Most inconvenient. Several months ago, I replaced the iPhone with a new Samsung S8. It synced to my LR3 exactly the same inconvenient way my old iPhone did. It does not, however recognize my Jaguar at all. Is there any hope to get it to sync to the Jag without having to install some new Bluetooth device in the car? I don't know what Bluetooth system the Jag has but am assuming it's the factory one. I have no manual for phone connections. I downloaded the one mentioned in the thread but found no help there.

Thanks for any help you can offer,

Granville
