Rationale of X-100 brake bleeding sequence ?
Most cars I’ve worked on had a factory recommendation of bleeding brakes starting with the wheel most distant from the master cylinder.
in contrast, my x-100 shop manual stipulates starting with the left hand front caliper and working towards the rear right caliper lastly.
what is the rationale for doing the bleeding procedure this way ?
I’m sure its covered in the forum, but I haven’t discovered it yet ?

how odd! I haven't got round to doing my brake fluid yet so hadn't noticed that. But, I have done brake fluid on my miata and they start on the driver side rear because if you actually look at the brake hose routing, the driver side feeds off a union right by the passenger side and is therefore furthest away. So try following the brake hose line routing and that may give you your answer.
Given that each wheel has its own brake line back to the master cylinder, I don't suppose it matters that much, but maybe Jaguar knows the internal layout of the master cylinder and took that into account?
In the old days, a split system had two lines going to two wheels each and I can see why you would want to bleed the longest line of the pair first.
Having said all that when I changed the brake fluid on my XKR I started with the longest line and the brakes seem to work just fine. IIRC the Brembo caliper has two bleed nipples on opposite sides of the caliper - easy to miss the inside one if you don't realise it is there.

When Wayne and I bled the brakes in my wife's 2006 XK8 a couple of years ago, we started with the longest line and worked our way in. The braking system continues to work exactly as designed....
