Real Gauge
Just read the thread on the genesis of Realgauge.
Fascinating and how fortunate are we to have folks out there willing to address enthusiast issues. My big fear with 90/2000's collectibles is finding replacements for the soon to be, or already, obsolete control modules. Stuff like this is very encouraging. I can go to NAPA to get most if not all mechanical parts for my C-1 Corvette but five to ten years from now where will you get a "brain" for the gizmo that handles multiple functions? So I am hopefull some mad scientist on this forum will come to the rescue.
So I plan to order a Realgauge and install when I get the car back.....but that jogged my memory.
The cooling fans never went on in the car. I had the car running for around twenty minutes prior to a fifteen minute test drive....didn't notice them running when we got back. Lw coolant light was on. Further....Should they not go on when the A/C is turned on? On my subsequent visit a week or so later I purposely turned on the AC....I felt the compressor engage, it was only 45 degrees out and I wasn't interested in running the car very long.....
Obviously I'll have the techs test them when I call for an update tomorrow but good to know before hand if there is a potential issue.
Hope everyone had a nice safe Holiday!

I believe that applies to all the years of the X-100, someone more knowledgeable than I, and there are many thusly designated on this forum, please chime in if I’m mistaken on that….
and merry Christmas to all.

I recently installed Real Gauge on my 98 XK8 and what peace of mind it provides. Finally I can see what is happening with my Engine temperature and oil pressure. The kit is very well constructed and the instructions very comprehensive. It has my vote!
