'01 XKR coupe with CATS. I've been experiencing an intermittent ABS/TRAC fault every time I drive my car in heavy rain. I've traced the fault to a short to ground on the rear ABS/CATS harness. I was able to find a replacement harness and finally decided to replace it today. But I'm stumped, how do I get to the CATS connector at the top of the damper? JTIS is not very helpful with that.

 

You will need to remove the damper/spring from below to get to it.

I'll dig out a picture.

 

It was not an easy job to get it out.

 

Thanks for the picture RaceDiagnostics! Confirms my worst fears... Ugh, I guess I'll have to look for the damage on the harness and try to repair it. It's not worth dropping the rear suspension just to replace a $40 harness.
