rear hubs
2001 xk8 One of my rear hubs had bearing issues two years ago. I marked it down as my right rear in my notes. I had the work done at local well known shop.
So last week I had this feeling my rear end wanted to hula on some ribbed roads. I lifted car and found left rear wheel could wobble some. I checked the lug nuts and they were tight, but the axle nut had backed out several threads.
So today I pulled both wheels off and took a look to confirm which hub had been worked on. The left looks new while the right looks original with original yellow torque paint on bolt and original tape on hole.
The new hub has a much deeper well than old: the axle nut goes on much farther than on old hub. I have maybe 3/4 inch of threads showing on the new hub.
Anyone have good dimensions for Jaguar parts versus Eurospare hubs?
I will go see the local guy on Monday and see what he says.

The OE LH Hub Carrier MJA3291AA is listed as fitting XK8 1997-2006. The 'R' performance models have a different P/N (MXD3291AA). As your LH and RH are different, has he fitted an OE equivalent to the correct part?
A new hub was an expensive way to fix a bearing issue!
