Rear shock and spring removal
Hey guys, back again ! So I just finished installing the front bilstein HD shocks on my xk8 along with the H&R lowering springs I say it was about an 1 1/2 inch drop in the front after letting the shocks and springs settle in they fit just like a glove. I took it for a drive and the car is a lot stiffer and can take corners much better now! But I need to install the rears and I don't really have a clue on doing so . Can someone give me some tips PLEASE! I looked it up and much info didn't really come up but dropping the whole rear end out of the car and thats something i don't want to do .... I have compressors for the springs. I took a look at them the other day and I saw there was a bolt connecting the bottom of the shock and three connecting the top mount. I wonder if i need to take out the rear seat to get to the top retaining nut or the rear trunk lining. Also, I'm starting my youtube channel in a bit so be on the look out for a review on the HD shocks and H&R lowering springs!

do an advanced search using key words "rear Springs" and user - motorcarman and you will find several threads. Bob provides guidance on how to remove rear springs without dropping the entire rear end (see post 6 in below linked thread)
