On my '97 XK8 Convertible I discovered that the rear window deffoger is not working. The wire is connected to the rear window and I did have a technician at Abacus Racing in Virginia Beach (the place I bought the car from) check the fuses and relays under the hood; all seemed good.
I would appreciate any advice as to how to proceed in order to have this repaired.

I assume by defogger you mean the Heated Rear Window?
If so, I would avoid that technician in future. The fuse for the Heated Rear Window is in the Luggage Compartment fuse box. Fuse number 17 ( 25 amp). The relay for it is in the same location.
