Default Rear wing trim removal

Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the strip of trim?

This piece arrowed in red?

It's held on with double sided tape. Warming with a hair drier softens up the glue and it can be peeled off. An old credit card can be used to lift the end and help free it.

The body is painted before the side trims are applied and they usually come off without any damage to the paint underneath.

Yes, that's the one, I need to take it off when I get my rear wings repainted.

Some members have removed all the side trims to give the smoother look of the later XK8's.

When I had my 2001, I found the position of the trims did nothing to prevent door dings. Presumably that's why Jaguar discontinued them on the 4.2.
