Default Removing fog lights

I have been reading the threads on cleaning fog lamp lenses and since I have the wheel arch liners off I thought I'd have a go. There is an 8 mm bolt that's easy the access and then there are two other clips towards the front. How do these clips detach ?

They are not bolts and I am reluctant to pull hard or pry on them since they are only attached to the thin fiberglass/plastic of the nose cone.

nobody has any insight on how these clips come loose ?

It's not a bid deal, I guess I will just put the undertray and wheel arch liners back and have a go at it next winter

the clips spread apart and the assembly pulls out. NB these clips are part of the nose piece and can break.

said it wrong, these clips are part of the housing attached to the nose piece. the inner section of the lamp assembly containing the lamp and lens is removed by these clips.

I think I'm correct in saying that early lights are different to later ones - and yours will be the later version.

But - in both cases - I'm fairly sure that there are three sort-of fines moulded into the front "nosecone" and the lamp is clamped to them by the three bolts. The early ones are a very poor design, as it is steel bolts into brass inserts retained in the moulded plastic of the lamp housing - try to undo the bolts, and the whole lot turns but won't come out. Later ones are easier I think but probably not easy unless you take the front off the car for better access.

My "early" nosecone (with one broken mounting) which may, or may not, be the same as later versions.

Mine are secured by a single bolt at the rear of the housing ( close to the wheel arch ) and two clips ( one at 12 o'clock and one at 9 or 3 depending on which side ) I have been looking at these clips and can't figure out how they come off ( they are NOT screwed or bolted on ) .

Thanks to all for the helpful advice, but I want to get back on the road, so I'm going to put it all back together and try again next fall/winter
