I thought I'd start a new post as the ones I've reviewed do not answer why I'm stuck!

I am in the process of replacing my knock sensors and need to remove my SC. I have completed all the JTIS (thanks TestPoint!) steps and have now removed teh three bolts that (i think) hold down the supercharger. I have attched teh JTIS .pdf on how tro remove SC and then a picture of my own car where I'm holding the three bolts referenced in teh JTIS pdf.

My problem is, the SC is not coming off? I must have missed a big step, but I don't think so. This job is way bigger than my current skill set, but I wan to get better and no way is better than actually digging in.

Anyone know what I have missed? I have more pictures is that would help.

Did you remove the intake elbow that is attached to the back side of the supercharger? I know you said you followed all of the steps, but it almost looks like it is still in place from what I can see in that picture.

Hmm .. I do not think I removed anything called the elbow. I do not have a copy of those JTIS instructions? Is the 'elbow' what I have stuffed my white t-shirt into in the picture below? It's a picture of teh back side of the motor.

 

Have you removed the bolt on the back of the supercharger? To access this one, you need to remove the intake elbow (the part between the throttle body and the supercharger). Some have been able to get that one out without removing the elbow, but its a tough one to do that way.

 

Yes that would be the elbow with the white rag in it. Its listed in the pdf file you posted.
