So I think I will try to get access to driver side front sway bar bushings tomorrow. I have no access from above as the tranny cooler lines are in the way.
I am going to try from the wheel arch where there is a small gap to access nuts.
Steve, I'm on a phone so I can't see photos well. When you say bushings do you mean the bushes that support the sway bar up front, or the ones that connect the sway bar link on each end?
either way you can get to them from underneath. Either way, you should have no big issues.
I hope you see a nice improvement, I was shocked at the difference new sway bar links made.

Mmm. I do remember thinking " Why on earth didn't you do this while you had the rad/condenser out?"
I managed to reach one of the bolts from the top with the aid of two or three extensions, but just couldn't get anywhere near square enough for the other.
With some contortionist manoeuvres and a cranked ring spanner it came out from below. I'd recommend disconnecting the drop links - it allows the bar to be rotated to give better access & just generally makes the job easier.
You may or may not find a plastic ring inside the old LHS bush. I'm really not sure of its purpose, but I put it back anyway.
