We like to change headlight to LED and bought AUXITO H1 on eBay-see the pic #1.
However, we found the old housing (square ) and new housing(round) are different. THe new light does not have a connector and instead of 2 wires see pic #2. Does any one install before? thanks for the help!
Davie-Julie, please be aware that you are dealing with 2 different concepts for how light is made and for example, the HID light on the left (silver box at the base) runs on 85V, not 12V like the LED light you have on the right does. So, please make sure that the HID light has the ballast built into the light (would appear it does) and that will make it swappable (ie, both will require 12V as an input. But, if you do have a separate ballast for the HID bulb, if you wire in the LED, you are going to have a small explosion on your hands (yes, literally explode as you will be applying 25K volts to something designed for 12V).
You can verify what I am saying by doing a little bit of hand over hand wiring checks. If you look at the plug for the headlights, you want to locate Pin 2 going into the headlight assembly (will be either an all blue wire for the right side or a blue wire with a yellow stripe on the left side - please keep in mind, this info is coming from a 2003 XK drawing, so the colors may be off). You can then find the associated wire inside the headlight housing and trace it to the bulb you are looking to replace. If you have straight wire there, then you are good. If you go to a module or some sort of box, then you are not.
If you need more info, let me know and I will see what I can dig up for you.
