Rock Auto sale (January 2020)
For folks in US and Canada ...I just got a notice from Rock Auto that they have some dealer closeout items for sale to fit 2004 XK8. That means there are probably items for other years as well. Nothing there for me but there may be stuff for some of you. Just wanted to pass it along

Rockauto is great for some things, not so good for others, and I find dealing with core returns to be a PITA.
But RA often has the best prices and they have a great parts search menu, so I usually start my part searches with them.
I keep a Rockauto link bookmarked for each of my vehicles because it is so easy to quickly assess part availability & price range.
Generic link: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...harged,1440768
(In 3 seconds, with three clicks & no typing, I'm looking at all their available engine/crankshaft seals.)
Bargain link:https://www.rockauto.com/RSS/vehicle...l=en&html=true
(to go here, specify your vehicle in the main menu, hit the orange [rss] button next your vehicle name, then hit blue [html] under "Love a Bargain?

I agree that rockauto.com is one of the best sites when researching needed parts regardless of vehicle make and model. But because they continue to charge for shipping while so many amazon.com vendors offer free shipping if you are spending more than $25 with them, rockauto is often not nearly the bargain they used to be. For instance, I am going to replace the factory 15mm rear sway bar on my 2013 Subaru Outback 3.6R with a much more robust 20mm rear sway bar and the associated new bushings. The rockauto.com deal with their 5% discount code is almost $120. After a couple minutes of searching I found an amazon.com deal on exactly the same parts for less than $95. It is worth the extra time required to shop around....
