Default Rough idle and Limp mode

Hey guys, I know I've been asking a lot of questions lately but I have a more urgent one here. So I have a 2000 XK 4.0 and it starts to rough idle after a few seconds then mellow out. That's from a cold start but on a warm start she starts to shake pretty bad, RPM's up and down and all. I'm thinking the fuel injectors need to be cleaned. The concern here is its gone into power restriction mode twice now. The first time was in March then today it did it again but went off after I started driving. No codes can be read because the light goes out before I can read it. I'm thinking the idle/power restriction is a linked issue to dirty injectors? Any advice would be great, thanks!

Plug your reader in and drive and see if the reader captures the code that way.

Maybe you can watch fuel trims long enough to see if there's an air leak but if not then try a smoke test.

Mine was having about the same problem other than once going into restricted mode the light would not go back off until I reset it.

Mine was an air leak.

Sorry for my inexperience but what do you mean by air leak?

Often the accordion pleats in the air inlet tube or the part or full load breather will develop cracks, or a vacuum line will break, allowing unmetered air into the engine.
