Routing audio cable from trunk to centre console Jaguar 2000 model XKR Conv.
I'm looking for the simplest method of routing audio cables from the trunk in my 2000 model XKR convertible to the centre console. I have the back seat (just the base) detached but cant see an easy route. There's a harness which is flat under the seat which splits in two and then goes to both sides of the car, maybe under the speakers but not sure.
I don't really want to dismantle anything more than I need to, so an easy option will be gratefully appreciated.

When I did mine, I took the rear seat back out and threaded the cables from the top right corner of the boot (as you look into it) through to the cabin. The hydraulic lines for the roof pass the same way. Of course, a 2000 might be completely different from a 2001 as we have found out.
I think you are going to have to bite the bullet and take that seat out - its pretty obvious what you need to do when it is out.

Many thanks
My hobby is turning into a nightmare.
dibbit I rewired everything for the phone kit. It was a nightmare as there was no phone connector in my armrest other than the one for the cradle.
After connecting everything my radio doesn't mute and my aerial don't go up (could be a coincidental fault)
Any ideas

Well, on mine, one of the wires in the centre armrest console controls the electric aerial. Like many other people on here, I have installed a little switch in that wire to stop the aerial from going up. Maybe you disconnected it?
