Default saying goodbye

Can't remember if I said goodbye. It's a senior thing. Traded in my 1998 XK8 conv. Arthritic hips made entry into the car a back in, sit, and spin maneuver. No matter where I parked a SUV would find me and park next door. Because of the size of the XK8 door it couldn't be opened up enough for me to enter pain free. Leased a new 1st addition XE portfolio. came only one way. Metallic white with a Terracotta interior. 35T supercharged V6, 8 speed tranny, almost all Jaguar options. Still get "beautiful car" remarks and stares just like the XK8. The XE has way more power than the XK8 thanks to the 340 horse V6 and 8 speed. I do miss the top down and being able to put golf bag and push cart in trunk. Have to put back seat down in the XE to get everything to fit. Enjoy your beautiful cars, Jack

I have to laugh, not at you, but at myself. I've been getting into ALL cars that way since 1979 when I had a near fatal motorcycle accident going 87+ mph riding on a Kawasaki Police KZ 1000, and broke my back in 3 places . Been contorting my body into cars so long I now think it's the normal way.

BTW, Your new ride sounds swell !!!

Sorry to hear you had to give up the XK8.

I had an XE loaner for three weeks last year when my XK was in for warranty work and was pleasantly suprised with it.

Graham,

What sort of warranty work required Jaguar to keep your XK for three full weeks?
