Sealed Tranny
I went by my indy shop, and the service rep pulled up Jag's instructions for replacing the tranny fluid. The oil change procedure described using a computer terminal (to run a CD disk) which is hooked up to the car while replacing the oil and cycling the gear selector. Do the instructions with these kits provide a way of doing it without the computer?
The only thing they are doing with that process is monitoring the internal temperature of the transmission fluid.
This can be done by measuring the case temperature of the transmission with an infrared thermomenter, or using a thermometer to check the fluid temperature a couple of times during the process through the fill plug.
If they have not done this before, I would find another indy.

If they plan on working on yours, and other jaguars, see if they wouldn't just want to purchase the AutoEnginuity scan tool with expansion pack, $500 or so...it reads all the car's internal sensors, including real-time tranny temp.
