Default Searching WDS for XK8 '98

Hello,
i need the earlier Version of the WDS Software for my XK8 MY 98.
I have to reprogramm my driver seat Module. I have a WDS with Version 43 on it, but i can only programm MY 2006 (Engineering Modus, not IDS)

So i'm looking for a WDS Version for my 98 Jaguar.

Can someone hep me?

Thanks Katja_bo

Have you tried to fix the older module instead? Most folks repair old modules in part to avoid having to reprogram a new one, and to avoid using a "new" module likely about as worn out. The basic problem is usually worn out tracks on the outer edge of the circuit board where they touch/rub the hard plastic shell. Someone with (average?) soldering skills has to install shunt wires to bypass these tracks and get the modules working again. Some on this list offer this service for a small fee. This is the typical scenario. Maybe your situation is an outlier.

Best of luck, keep us posted.

There is a gentleman in San Diego who repairs them. There is a post somewhere.

yes, thanks for this information, but this is not my goal, i'm look for earlier WDS Version, not for repairing my module.
I all ready have a new(used) module and want to programming it. I have the WDS Hardware, but - i guess - the wrong WDS Softwareversion

Is this new-to-you module more or less working? From what others have posted before, programming a used module only restores the seat heater function. All other functions should work as-is if the module is functional. I had my own module repaired, so I have no direct experience with programming this part, so take that information with a grain of salt. Have you made a deep inspection of the new part also (outer tracks, etc.)?

For an actual software/cable offer, check british diagnostics.
