Although the the seats in my XK8 are in great condition, I've considered replacing them, with other seats that would fit my physique a little better. I'm a rather big guy, particularly across the shoulders and back. The lower portion of the stock seats are fine but the upper back portion of the seat doesn't provide me with much support and comfort (primarily because it is rather narrow at the top of the seat).
Are there more comfortable and supportive seats from other Jaguar models that would be a direct "bolt in" in my XK8; or are there aftermarket seats available that would work in my car?

 

Check to see what Recaro has available. Word of warning, they ain't cheap.

 

Might look at later year XK8 seats they are wider than the earlier years

 

Does anybody know if the later year xk8 / xkr seats will fit earlier models without too many modifications?

Any seat from any year will physically bolt in.

There are some differences across years and options for how many adjustments a seat had, so you might find some minor wiring differences and likely will need to program the seat module to get everything to work.

 

Yes, easy bolt on. I've done the mod, much cushier! Just hook up a positive/negative and it's a go. You'll loose the memory function, but it's not a big deal

Get out of my head, I came back here to ask this very question! will 2001 xkr seats fit a 2000 xk8?

I have a line on a pair of front xkr seats from a 2001, they are much cushier and have wider bolsters and *** pads than my stock seats, I'm thinking they might bolt in and work, cant find too much info on the subject
