Dreaded rattle from one cat, suggests precious metal fragmentation. Engine power slightly down and acceleration is a bit 'lumpy'. Need to replace both cats on my 1996 XK8.
Can anyone recommend trusted supplier of second hand cats or supplier of trusted OEM cats?

look in the forum classifieds - there are a few members breaking XK8/R's. You can also try one of our forum sponsor's - Jagbits, Coventry West or SNG Barratt's

434, like I said in earlier PM, I can get mine off my car, but I believe shipping to the UK would make it uneconomical (guessing $150). Shouldn't be any duties anyway, since returning to COO.

Anyone have any clever shipping ideas or advice? I'm in Iowa, so smuggling via drone or kayak isn't gonna work...

 

I have 2 modified original catalysts if you want (inside have the catalysts 200 cells). I had them in my car. I now have an handmade exhaust system all in stainless steel with 2 sport catalysts 100 cells!

Thanks for your help and suggestions. I have now purchased two second hand and original cats from a UK supplier in London area. Excellent value at £75 each. Arriving Tuesday hopefully.
