Default Secondary metal bodied Tensioners

What would I expect to have to pay for my 2001 XK8 secondary tensioner replacement with the metal ones suggested by everyone here?

I have 86000 miles on my beautiful XK8 and will have to do this soon I was told.
Thank you in advance for any info.

Thank you for caring for your car!

If . . . if you still have the original plastic tensioners and do nothing you will surly destroy your engine.

You do not identify the status of your car but the conversion to metal tensioners was August 1991. Some '02's had the metal ones, some didn't. My June '01 manufacture '02 had plastic tensioners. Some earlier cars came with plastic tensioners and were upgraded to a later version of the plastic tensioners which failed just as reliability as the early units.

The two tensioners themselves are available on-line for about $135. Valve cover gaskets are available as Lincoln FelPro for less than $50 if you have any sign of leaks. No leaks, the gaskets are very reusable. If you DIY it is very easy and documented multiple times on this forum.

Using a Indy and using Lincoln branded parts at $800 without gaskets would make everyone very happy.

A dealer is going to be in the $1200 range.
